    In this first issue of the second volume of the Brazilian Journal of Eurasian Studies, we will begin our publications on a continuous flow basis, aiming to make the submission and review processes more dynamic and allowing contributors to our journal to have more reliable feedback from the editorial board. We open this cycle with the article by Guilherme Geremias da Conceição, "Leadership Transition and Foreign Policy: Uzbekistan under the Governments of Islam Karimov and Shavkat Mirziyoyev (1991-2023)."

    We begin the third volume of the Brazilian Journal of Eurasian Studies, carrying on with our continuous publication flow, with the article by Guilherme Beletatti Ribeiro da Cruz, which analyzes the legality and legitimacy of Kosovar statehood since 2008 through the normative debate between the prerogative of territorial integrity and the principle of self-determination of peoples.
